Oven not holding flame?
If your gas oven flame goes out it is more than likely a thermocouple issue.
The thermocouple is a mechanical device made from two different types of metal and when heated creates a small volage, this voltage signals to the gas valve that it’s safe to keep the gas supply open.
The thermocouple continuously monitors the gas flame and reacts by shutting off the gas if the flame fails for any reason, preventing a dangerous build up of gas. As the thermocouple is a mechanical device that doesn’t require any external power it is a reliable safety feature.
